The Early Hearing Detection and Intervention Advisory Committee (EHDI-AC), established by state statute (MS Code 41-90-7), is an advisory committee appointed by the State Health Officer to advise and assist the Mississippi State Department of Health and the Mississippi State Interagency Coordinating Council for Early Intervention on the identification of infants and toddlers with hearing impairments and linking them with early intervention services.
The EHDI-AC consists of physicians, audiologists, educators, parents, and other interested parties who serve for three years.
The EHDI-AC meets quarterly. All EHDI-AC meetings and records are open to the public. An opportunity is provided during each meeting for public comments about any relevant topic or concern. All meetings will begin at 1:00 p.m. A Zoom link and location will be provided a week in advance of the scheduled meeting.
All meetings will have interpreter services for the deaf and hard of hearing.
