Foods You Can Buy
The WIC Food Guide will help you plan ahead and make your shopping experience simple.
You'll receive a copy of the Food Guide at your first WIC appointment along with a shopping list that is tailored for you.
Exclusively breastfeeding women will receive increased quantities of WIC foods. Canned fish like tuna or salmon will be added to their food package.
Using Your eWIC Card
You need your card to pick up WIC foods. If you lose your card or if it's stolen or damaged, contact Customer Service immediately at 1-855-897-5897.
At the Store
To purchase WIC foods, just swipe your eWIC card and enter your PIN. The back of your eWIC card contains a magnetic strip that works just like a debit card.
Some items you buy may not be on your family's WIC Shopping List. Pay for these items with your SNAP card, gift card, cash, debit card or check.
Receiving WIC Benefits
Your eWIC card will have a unique account number. WIC will use that number to send your benefits to your account each month.
The amount of WIC benefits remaining on your card is printed on your shopping receipts. You can also find out your balance by calling 1-855-897-5897 or visiting www.wicconnect.com.
Any WIC benefits you do not use during a benefit cycle will expire; they do not roll over.
When you have used all your WIC benefits for the month, do not throw away the card. Keep it, and WIC will reload the card when your next monthly benefit period begins.

The WICShopper app for your phone or tablet makes it easy to use your WIC benefits.
To install the WICShopper app:
- Search for WICShopper in your app store
- Select Mississippi as your WIC agency
- Register your Mississippi eWIC card in the app.
