The Mississippi WISEWOMAN Cardiovascular Health Program

The Mississippi WISEWOMAN program (Well-Integrated Screening and Evaluation of Women Across the Nation) aims to identify women at the highest risk for cardiovascular disease and to improve the delivery of heart disease and stroke prevention services to them.

The main focus of the WISEWOMAN program is blood pressure control through correct technique, health coaching, counseling, healthy behavior support services and lifestyle improvement options.

The Mississippi WISEWOMAN program is available to woman aged 35-64 who participate in the CDC-funded National Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program (NBCCEDP) via MSDH's Breast and Cervical Cancer Prevention (BCCP) program.
