Background checks are required for individuals who intend to work in many medical cannabis related jobs. Affidavits of background checks must be submitted with license applications.
Required Background Checks
Background checks are required for individuals who:
- Are applying for a work permit required for employment by a licensed medical cannabis establishment.
- Have an economic interest in a prospective medical cannabis business entity (as defined by the rules and regulations developed by the MS State Department of Health and MS Department of Revenue).
- Intend to serve as a registered caregiver to patient participants of the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program.
Fingerprinting
Fingerprinting is required as part of the background check. Fingerprint cards must be submitted via mail to:
